This book is so full of emotion, I’m still overwhelmed, with tears at the ready, and that’s definitely the best thing a book can do. I finished reading More Than Enough yesterday and I’m still emotionally unstable. While time and everything around us stands unmoving… who’s to say we can’t have it all? I wonder what events in all our lives-hers included-are The Turning Points? The points where we all determine that the fear of our pasts and the uncertainty of our futures are greater than our need for happiness. I recommend you read not only this installment, but the full series if you have not yet.I’m grateful he showed up on my doorstep,Īnd I don’t just mean here on this journey with him. Family is also a prevalent theme in the novel which plays a huge role in defining Riley and Dylan. The development of each central character is remarkable, something Mclean always does nicely. The story is one of a fierce love, and one that kept me on my toes the entire time. There is not one thing I can criticize about it, because More than Enough is utterly perfect. I carried my kindle with me everywhere, using every waking second to finish this book. The couples from the other four novels also play a role in Dylan and Riley's story, which I loved.

He is kind, sweet, charming, funny, handsome, and all too lovable. Dylan embodies every great quality a man should have. Riley is spunky, passionate, unique, and alluring. The two seek shelter in one another, and develop a unique relationship built on shared misfortune. Dylan, the literal boy next door, comes home from war on medical leave, and stumbles upon Riley through a matter of pure fate. Riley, the female protagonist, is a character who has suffered a great tragedy, and has spent the last year of her life attempting to cope with that tragedy in an entirely dysfunctional manner. This information is not giving away anything because the reader discovers that the novel will not cover Heidi and Dylan within the first chapter. Although Cam and Lucy's story mentions Heidi and Dylan's breakup, I was still a bit lost at the start. While Dylan's original partner is someone else named Heidi ( a member of the friend group from high school) as mentioned in the first More Than installment, this novel opens up with Riley's point of view, which confuses the reader if they have read the previous books. Each couple is involved in the following couples' story, and this creates for a beautiful, intricate series. One of Mclean's many talents is the way she connects the characters of each of novel from the series together. While More than Enough can be read as a standalone, it is best read after reading the other installments. This novel covers Riley and Dylan's relationship. The previous books covered Jack and Kayla, Logan and Amanda (2 books long) and Cam and Lucy.

More than Enough by Jay Mclean is the 5th installment in the More Than Series.
