The characters and relationships are very well developed leaving the reader easily able to fall in love with them. At first it can be slow moving, but once you get into the story you can easily get hooked. The Magic Half was a fun story once you get into it. Without meaning to, she has found a way to travel back in time to 1935 where she discovers Molly, a girl her own age very much in need of a loving family. When her family moves to an old farmhouse in a new town, the only good thing seems to be the magic that is unleashed in Miri’s ten sided attic bedroom. Miri is lonely being stuck as the only non-twin in a family with two sets of them.
